Budget

Will we see a budget for the country while Obama is President ? odds are under 50 % already . we should have had 2 by now .

Confused !

I am so far out of touch with reality-- They keep talking about raising the debt limit--We pay over a thousand million ( 400 Billion a year) dollars a day in INTEREST on borrowed funds now-- I think we need to reduce the debt limit to ZERO --& the sooner the better --They also claim 1 day social security is good till 2016 & then this week claim they may not have funds August 3rd- NO I DON'T UNDERSTAND- Who can explain the logic ?

IF debt ceiling gets raised ,the 1st cuts should be : All politicians pension funds are ended. All politicians can fund their on retirement accounts . All politicians pay for their own insurance . All politicians pay is reduced by 50 % . ONCE the politicians balance the budget ----------Reduce spending & size of Government & pay off all debts & fund all programs -IE social security - then we consider small raises once we have saved the eqivalent of the interest we have payed out over the last 100 years -Heck I would compromise to the interest paid out in the last 20. We LIMIT the tax rate to 18% of gdp. Just my 2 cets worth .

Progressive logic

It amazes me -we are actually paying interest on money we paid into social security & the goverment SPENT & now owes us ( SOCIAL SECURITY ) & in all the talks I NEVER -EVER hear any intentions of paying back any of the principle of those funds . That is why they want to raise taxes -so we can pay ourselves. Can I borrow some money from Nancy & when payment is due Can I get her to give me some more to make the payment ? If so give me a bunch & I'll end homelessness & food hunger & fund cancer research & when she balks about more funds I will just pass a law forcing her to pay me more.

Debt limit

 The more I hear about our country losing its credit rating & not being able to borrow more -the more I like it . then politicians will have to live with what it takes in & it will be even less with higher interest payments . Plus my savings account might actually earn some interest for the 1st time in decades. We fired Nancy last election Now hopefully we will fire Reed & possibly Obama. Just my 2 cents worth

Americans are stupid ???

News conference is on air & Obama just said professional politicians know better than the 69% who oppose raising the debt. odds of his re-election in 2012 just dropped below 50  !!!!  Keep talking President ! My daddy use to tell me " It's better to say nothing & have others think you are a fool -Than to open your mouth & remove all doubts. Ashame the Presidents dad wasn't in his life to teach him the things my dad did ! Americans are not as stupid as the president claimed just now in his news conference !

It ticks me off when I think about what our politicians have done to Americans -It's so stupid when have a debt & are paying Billions in interest payments with our tax dollars ! Here is 1 example

Word is every American now owes over $ 44,000 to pay our country's debt-This is just outrageous and I have yet to hear a plan to be out of debt in my or my daughters life time !!!!!!  Truely SAD !!!!!!

I need a place to vent !

Ok fellow earthlings-I needed to vent somewhere so here I am . I was raised to respect my elders - I was taught right from wrong & good from bad ( even thought I had to test my own theories ). Oj was not guilty & Clinton didn't have sex & Anthony can lie her way out of her daughters death & Pelosi says we have to pass this bill to see what's in it . I confess - I skipped some school classes & it is now haunting me because I had to have missed a lot because there is so much I do not understand !
